Identifier-bin: 2009-03-25T17:38:32Z.Nepal has developed a network of communication channels that enables citizens to raise their grievances, protect the environment, and reach out to a ministry of human rights. This story was originally published by Earth Island Journal, which is a news outlet that produces independent reporting on climate change, environmental and social justice issues. Nepal, a country of 28 million people with a GDP of $5 billion a year, is no stranger to strife. The country has been embroiled in an armed conflict with Maoist rebels for more than 15 years.
